About Amanda Hibbert Photography
Coming from a military family, and moving around the US, Amanda developed a strong interest in her family lineage and history. Looking at old photographs, she became fascinated by still images, but it wasn't until high school that she got her first Canon SLR and experimented with photography.
While in college at Virginia Tech she continued to take photos and eventually graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and moved to DC. There she immediately began taking classes to develop her technical and darkroom skills, developing and print her own film. After several years of general classes, she decided to receive formal training and enrolled in the Washington School of Photography, where she completed the Professional Photographer Certificate program.
Now she is a freelance photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is an active member of APA, ASMP, and NPPA.
